Department of Immigration, Migration and Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA)
- Business Information Needs Review
Working as a Project Officer/Liaison and Business Analyst to ensure that project schedules accurately reflected the Business Information Needs Review. During the project responsibilities included the management of three DIMIA employees, allocation of resources for the project and coordinate of these allocations on an ongoing basis. This allocation ensured that tasks and milestones were delivered on time and within project budget. Other areas of responsibility were the analysis of DIMIA’s information needs via the use of facilitated workshops, state visits and various interviews to determine department information needs to be able to report and develop a roadmap for future organisational projects. Additional business analysis tasks included the recording of this information and mapping the captured work processes into the departments modelling tool “System Architect” via Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN). The project schedule, resource allocation and coordination was monitored and directed through the use of Microsoft Project which provided the necessary reporting features to ensure that the DIMIA executives were kept up-to-date during the regular weekly status reports.
