Have you ever felt frustrated when someone does something and you think, "That was so illogical, why did they do that?", or have you ever worked in a company and sat there watching Management (or the people upstairs) and thought, "Do they actually know what we do down here?". Well I have, and so was born, Mooselogic.net. A site dedicated to people that use logic in their daily life, and have found themselves at a point in their lives where they are working towards a 'happy' place in that they can make a difference.
In my profession, as a Business Analyst, I find myself thinking daily how processes will benefit people in making logical or more importantly common sense decisions. I have often come across other Business Analysts in my daily job thinking along the same lines. It is often said that "Common Sense" is an optional extra when you are born, similar to asking for fog lights getting fitted by the dealer whom you have just purchased a car off. I felt that I needed to create a "safe haven" for like minded people, to come and look at items of interest, whilst creating a professional e-community of Business Analysts.
Mooselogic.net is aimed at providing a "safe haven" for Australian (or international) Business Analysts of like minds to come and discuss in the forum items of interest, ask questions, post reviews, etc. If you feel that the Mooselogic.net objective is close to your heart and you would like to join up for the forum, then feel free to register and start your Mooselogic.net experience straight away.

I was responsible for the authoring of the job performance analysis of the Business Analysis training course for an Australian Consulting and Training company, resulting in a complete training package focusing on the development of business analysts fundamental core competencies. I have worked in numerous government projects, working in project management roles assisting organisation in delivering projects on time and within budget. My IT and business background provides a solid foundation for scheduling projects to ensure that projects have achievable goals and incorporate mitigation strategies for project risks. I have been responsible for managing and coordinating resources to design, develop and deliver multiple major and minor projects whilst maintaining a strong professional relationship with executives to be able to provide financial project status reports on a regular basis. I have strong analytical skills and have extensive experience in problem solving. I effectively research issues to offer solutions (both IT and non-IT based) that adhere to the broader organisational objectives. My work has required me to take raw data and turn it into coherent requirements. This involves interaction with external organisations and internal stakeholders of different levels of understanding and sophistication. My diverse background has given me the skills necessary to analyse and extract the pertinent information and develop concepts and methodologies. Working on a large portal application for a large Government Department has exposed me to a much wider technical and business environment, which I was able to handled well. I have a good understanding of client engagement working hard to develop consistent and productive relationship within the client organisation. I also posess a good understanding of change management methodology and its application in a large government project. |
